Job Title: Key Account Sales Job Grade: Salary/Exempt Source of Supervision: Director of Sales
Primary Functions: This position is a key management role of commercial activity and responsibilities include customer sales order management, meeting volumes and revenues through distributer sales activities, promote sales campaigns and promotions and manager EDI orders. Duties and Responsibilities: Accountable for key clientele, both regional and national accounts.Provide demand forecasts, delivering on growth objectives, and executing Company sales plans.Works closely with the Sales Manager and Operations in the areas of forecasts, planning and budgets.Designs sales promotions and strategies with customers in coordination with marketing and customer needs. Accurately processes customer orders within the system in a timely manner, check inventory records and keep production updated as orders arrive.Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by making sure products are delivered with the highest degree of accuracy.Responsible for Sales Channel Marketing within the distributor/jobber/chain store channels to promote campaigns and promotions.Sales channel training of distributor staff and dealers.Manage orders through EDI and Oracle. Responsible to meet volumes and revenue target through distributer sales. Assists in managing client receivables, limits and conditions to ensure account is continuously up to date.Compile and analyze sales reports on overall customer satisfaction, performance results and trends.Identify strengths and weaknesses of positioning vs. competition in various situations through research, industry contacts personal networks, internet etc. Some travel required.Meet targets for on-time deliveries.Responsible for ensuring department is aware of key objectives for continuous improvement. Facilitate activities and strategies related to change management to deliver necessary business results.Partner with leadership team members in executing initiatives and projects to achieve strategic business plan and meet all objectives and KPI’s.Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Experience:Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or similar discipline preferred.Three (3) or more years of experience in the field of sales/marketing/customer and product support (ammo manufacturing environment preferred). Any appropriate combination of academic and work experience.Customer Focus & Service: To ensure consistent customer service at minimal logistical costs through a “lean” culture. Build and maintain excellent relationships with customers and respond to customer feedback. Monitor customer service performance and take action to resolve poor quality service. Develop and manage the process to minimize and eliminate shipping/loading errors, inventory control and on time deliveries. Must work to develop team.
