GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Note: not to be construed as all inclusive)
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES (Not all Inclusive): •Maximize Winchester brand presence at trade-consumer events and retail. •Support and promote launch of strategic new products at trade-consumer events and retail. •Consult with Product managers to assure business objectives are implemented. •Consult with Sales managers and execute objectives at customer specific retail events. •Execute consumer and retail events as directed. •Responsibilities include all elements of event coordination (including retail), scheduling, rental agreements, creative assets, booth management, branded merchandise sales, staffing and overall brand presence. •Monitor existing trade-consumer and retail events and assess competitive presence and make recommendations for improvements. •Responsible for Winchester outside agency coordination for our booth management including, set up/tear down, warehousing and cost efficiency. •Sync marketing creative and feature new products into the physical booth and at retail locations. •Responsible for annual contractual agreements for booth, show floor space and permanent rental properties. •Provide general support and administration for retail Diamond Dealer Program. •Identify, evaluate and recommend impactful retail point-of purchase and consumer web site merchandise portfolio and assure inventory objectives are achieved. •Coordinate outside agency merchandise sourcing/assortment activities. •Maintain annual event calendar and manage assessment scorecard. •Assure departmental operating budgets are achieved.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS (Not all Inclusive): •Bachelor’s Degree required; Business-related field preferred (e.g. Marketing). •Minimum 2 years event marketing, consumer promotions, or retail sales related relevant experience. •Hunting and/or shooting sports experience and/or related industry experience required; Winchester products and customers preferred. •Good communications, planning, organization, presentation, and project management skills. •Must be a self-starter with ability to effectively prioritize workload and special projects with little direction. •Must be creative and possess ability to plan and implement programs specific to promoting the Winchester marketing and sales objectives and goals. •Must be able to work independently with minimal direction. •Travel required. •Periodic attendance required at key events to ensure plans are properly executed.
