We are working on their behalf to find a highly capable leader for the role of Vice President of Sales, Marketing & Product Management. This position will direct the continuing expansion of global market presence for the company. The right professional will target, cultivate and actively solicit distribution channels to further the Company’s existing business game plan, identify product opportunities, and develop a robust new business pipeline for sales penetration and growth. Our client is evolving, and seeking a hands on leader who will strengthen and rebrand sales, marketing and product management through product vision, incisive strategies and implementation, ultimately driving positive results.
Work closely with all sales, marketing, engineering, and executive teams, leading the direction and focusing on one common goal. Drive and build the brand, sales, profitability, and customer excellence.
Collaborate with senior executives in sales forecasting and road map development to ensure positive results.
Develop marketing plans to build product awareness, seeking opportunities to strengthen the company’s brands; Identify market trends, product gaps and new product opportunities.
Lead, guide, manage, and further develop the sales and marketing team, setting goals and objectives and keeping team accountable for results; foster a culture that is customer focused with a high sense of urgency to predict and respond quickly to all opportunities and inquiries.
Manage customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction.
Stay attentive to industry trends and competition. Provide and direct industry-wide releases, utilizing media, trade shows, industry writers, and other platforms to strengthen customer awareness and demand.
Create short and long term business/sales plans. Build on existing and establish new partnerships with distributors, representative groups, military and law enforcement, industry, and retail channels. Meet with representatives, identify their needs, and manage relations and business opportunities accordingly.
Further develop marketing presence by attending related trade shows/industry events, enhancing relationships with industry writers and professionals.
Create and manage annual department budget. Provide accurate sales forecasting.
Negotiate, set and sell pricing programs, ensuring positive bottom line results.
Plan ahead for future organizational needs to achieve and sustain sales growth.
Education: 4 year college degree; related years of experience will be considered, MBA a plus.
Sales and marketing experience with demonstrated career track and successes from within the shooting sports industry is a must. Experience in commercial, law enforcement and/or military industries, an asset.
Effective communicator at all levels. Active listener, ability to delegate and follow-up to ensure positive results.
Possessing solid leadership abilities with an understanding of both the sales and marketing functions. Ability to predict potential market needs and opportunities ahead of time.
Sales Professional with strong business understanding; proactive with a clear sense of direction and focus on building sales growth. Must possess the drive and self-motivation to meet and exceed plan objectives.
Must be a relationship builder, experienced with distributors, representative groups, industry professionals, and have willingness and ability to travel, as needed.
International experience, considered a plus.
