•Lead Account responsibility for select box and internet retailers •Implement a proactive account management plan •Responsible for the development and execution of Umarex USA / Walther Arms strategies as they align with the retailer’s goals including TOP to TOP collaboration •Monitor and analyze POS and inventory data from Edifice retail data •Take lead sales role in all line reviews and account presentations •Train sales representatives for execution of product plans, merchandising and associate training •Interact with agency representatives to achieve goals •Be a resource for our customers and act as a business consultant by giving them the tools needed to succeed •Manage field’s sales reps for retail location support and coverage including training, merchandising, and promotions •Identify promotional opportunities, plan and execute development of product solutions to secure those opportunities •Fully immersed in airguns, optics, lights and firearms categories to understand and support the Omni-Channel markets •Successfully interface with the various internal and customer departments to ensure flawless operational support •Identify successful product mix and work with main buyers to develop sales strategies for all product categories •Develop and support programs to train store personnel on Walther/Umarex products •Develop and work with inventory team to maintain rolling 12-month forecast for Umarex USA and Walther Arms with sustainable inventory levels •Identify successful product strategies and work with Product Development teams to develop impactful SMU and product concepts •Successfully interface with various customer departments and maintain a strong working knowledge of individual account trends and requirements •Completely manage the co-op and advertising process with our customers •Identify products to target for replacement and develop transition plans
•Bachelor’s Degree preferred or work experience equivalent •Five years of successful National Retail Account management •Sporting goods experience preferred •Strong analytical skills required with strong attention to detail and accuracy •Strong financial analysis skills needed •Desire to become proficient in Umarex USA and Walther Arms product knowledge •Ability to excel in a team environment •Must be able to successfully interface with operations, customer service, logistics, product development and quality department. •Ability to source, disseminate, and properly apply secondary research •Frequent travel required (+30%) including occasional international •Proven ability to manage a customer’s on-line presence resulting in a positive sales and marketing impact.
