This position is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the production equipment and plant facility in a conscientious and reliable manner, consistent with OSHA, ODEQ and Company standards.
Primary Tasks: 1. Performs preventative and repair maintenance on production equipment and also other office/plant facility items. . 2. Starts machines and equipment to test operation following repair. 3. Troubleshoots various areas in the plant and grounds through regular inspection and test procedures. 4. Installs and maintains electrical equipment/controls, circuits, and PLC. 5. Maintains safe and efficient use maintenance equipment. 6. Responds to maintenance calls on the Production Floor in timely manner. 7. Inventories spare parts and reports usage; suggests re-orders to Manager. 8. Maintains neat and orderly work area; properly maintains tools. 9. Installing, maintaining, repairing, and overhauling production equipment. 10. Performing sanitary welding on equipment and food processing piping. 11. Troubleshoots, identifies worn parts & rebuilds machine assemblies, pumps, meters, valves, valve actuators and other equipment. 12. Safe handling and use of various chemicals with strict adherence to hazardous communication and MSDS requirements. 13. Other duties as assigned
Required Education, Skills and Experience:
• Strong familiarity with PLC’s • Electrical/Electronics Engineering-Associate in Applied Science • Knowledge of pneumatic, mechanical & electro - mechanical systems and practical knowledge of plant electrical/mechanical systems • Electrical/Electronics Engineering-Associate in Applied Science • Ability to analyze electro-mechanical devices, trouble shoot failures and implement repairs. • Electrical/Electronics Engineering-Associate in Applied Science • 5+ years of directly related experience • 10+ years of directly related experience
