National Shooting Sports Foundation
Responsible for day-to-day management and administration of the NSSF PAC.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Perform the day-to-day responsibilities and activities associated with managing and administering the NSSF PAC. Obtain and track prior consent forms from NSSF member companies. Increase number of PAC contributors/donors and total PAC contributions. Maintain and grow NSSF PAC member/donor database. Support NSSF PAC with development and execution of solicitation strategy and programs to grow PAC. Coordinate NSSF PAC event logistics, including planning and execution of events, securing locations and maintaining invite and attendee lists. Staff PAC booth NSSF’s annual trade show. Assist with drafting, preparation and distribution of regular PAC communications to restricted class. Assist in preparation and submission of federal and state PAC reports and lobbying disclosure forms. Provide support to government relations efforts including preparing materials for and attending congressional and administrative agency meetings. Work with Managing Director and Director of GR to develop strategic plan to support congressional and senate candidates. Organize fundraisers hosted by NSSF for congressional and senate candidates Assist with biennial federal NSSF voter education campaign (GunVote).
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree required. Prior PAC management and administration experience a must. Must have experience with Aristotle software or similar PAC management system. Knowledge of FEC regulations. Prior legislative, political campaign or lobbying experience a plus. Position will likely require registration as a federal lobbyist. Proficiency with current Microsoft Windows, Excel, and PowerPoint required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Highly organized, detail oriented, have the ability to meet deadlines. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and prioritize effectively. Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work well independently and as a team member. An interest in the firearms industry and a supporter of the second amendment a plus. Knowledge of firearms, hunting and the shooting sports desirable but not a requirement.
