The General Manager will provide hands-on leadership and direction for the business to create a positive team culture and build sustaining processes, supporting further growth and development. The successful General Manager must be an effective communicator and process-minded leader possessing the ability to maximize resources and ultimately drive business success.
Lead and oversee plant-wide Operations including New Product Development, Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing & Assembly, Maintenance, and Lean/Continuous Improvement teams.
Work closely with the executive team establishing and implementing strategic initiatives, goals and objectives
Provide hands-on direction and follow-up throughout the entire organization
Identify key areas of improvement and cost reduction; implement lean, 5S strategies
Evaluate opportunities for strategic company growth, including new product development and product launch
Overall responsibility for quality, safety, on time delivery, and profitability
P & L management
Cultivate a positive organizational culture which includes team building, staff engagement, and inclusivity.
Manage and reduce overall inventory levels and WIP to achieve optimum manufacturing efficiency
Set goals with departmental leaders, ensuring accountability and follow-up
Four year degree preferred; related experience will be considered
Related operations experience from within a metal/machining precision manufacturing and assembly environment
P & L experience is required
Possessing a strong understanding of supply chain principles/ERP utilization.
Lean/Continuous Improvement/5S experience
An experienced, hands-on leader with a proven track record of building strong teams and transforming positive change
Strong communication skills (business writing, presentations, and interpersonal) along with the ability to work with executive level clients and stakeholders
Experienced in successful new product launch
