The Trade Compliance Analyst is responsible for day-to-day support to all of American Outdoor Divisions with respect to U.S. Import/Export Regulations. This position will report directly to the Director of Compliance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare and manage export authorizations, including ITAR and EAR licenses, agreements and exemptions
Provide day-to-day transactional support related to shipments, foreign visitors and international travel
Classify products in accordance with the U.S. Department of State's U.S. Munitions List and the Department of Commerce's Export Commodity Classification Numbers
Perform regular audits of export authorizations and AES filings
Interface with internal/external customers to ensure compliance with export regulations and Company policies and procedures
Supports the development and implementation of business processes, procedures and tools to ensure compliance with U.S. Government export/import regulations and company policies
Assist with employee training
Other duties may be assigned
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience;
Professional work experience in a compliance-related field (category I) strongly preferred;
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
Strong customer service skills
Effective written and verbal communications
The ability to manage competing priorities and meet multiple goals, plans and milestones
Reputation for and absolute commitment to integrity and professionalism
Demonstrated understanding and working knowledge of U.S. import/export regulations
Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule (e.g., able to meet the requirements of the position as needed, including ability to work evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice);
Must meet all ITAR requirements and have the legal ability to possess firearms and ammunition
Must have strong command of the English language, in both oral and written communications.
Demonstrated proficiency with SAP (or similar ERP software)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, and database skills.
Complete all necessary training as required by assigned department and position
Participate in and follow all company initiatives and procedures
Participate in continuous improvement projects (Kaizen events, 5S, etc.)
