Kinetic Research Group (KRG) is currently seeking a Manufacturing/Production Engineer to join our production team in beautiful Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. This person will be a vital component in the production process and workflow. This position will provide opportunities to showcase and develop a wide breadth of your skills and literally have a positive, tangible, and visible impact on company operations and on customer happiness. Essentially, this person will transition product designs from our development side to the customers’ hands, setting up processes, fixtures for assembly, managing supply chain and implementing QAP, then facilitating packing and shipping to the eager customer.
Develop, evaluate, and enhance manufacturing methods, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
Analyze, plan, and improve work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow; design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
Manage supply chain; arrange purchase of materials or parts and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
Utilize and optimize inventory control/ERP software
Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods, testing of finished- product, establishing standards, and confirming manufacturing processes
Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs plus reviewing production schedules and estimating future requirements.
Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Maintain product and process data base
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

B.S. in an Engineering discipline, preferably Manufacturing/Production Engineering, or a minimum (3) years of manufacturing/production engineering or project management or equivalent experience
Experience in Quality Assurance Program utilization and implementation
General computer proficiency including MS Office suite; Solidworks proficiency is a plus
Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing processes at the shop floor level based on strong knowledge of cutting tool applications, GD&T, and proficient use of precision measuring gauges.
Self motivated and self disciplined; firearms industry knowledge is a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, preferably demonstrated by previous leadership roles
Experience designing, troubleshooting, and/or building production fixtures
Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
Must have strong work references.
