Assist in all aspects of financial operations and reporting. This position requires accounting principles that include work that is analytical, creative, evaluative, and advisory in nature and that requires an understanding of both accounting theory and business practices.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Accounts Payable Oversight:
Manage AP. Includes: Full oversight of AP process which handles all check disbursements, 1099 and tax related matters for automated accounting system.
Manage accounting functions including maintenance of general ledger, accounts payable, and project accounting systems; ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Develop, implement and maintain systems, procedures and policies, including accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
Manage monthly closing of financial records and posting of month end information; ensures accuracy of financial statements.
Inventory Management Oversight:
Manage inventory and ensure accurate of inventory levels.
Continue to refine existing inventory tracking system to streamline business operations.
Communicate with outside warehouse locations on inventory levels and resolve outstanding issues.
Report on inventory activities and variances
Develop and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank credit card accounts, assist in the coordination of annual audit, and reviewing financial reports/support as necessary
Analyze and report on financial status including income statements variances, communicating financial results to management, budget preparation and analysis
Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
Ability to travel locally and to vendor training classes

Able to maintain confidentiality.
Special projects for Vice President/CFO and Controller as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent related experience.
Five to seven years’ experience in general accounting.
Experience performing general accounting functions including but not limited to A/P, A/R, banking, and account reconciliations.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge and experience with Intacct, Concur, Adaptive, DOMO, Workato and Quickbooks preferred.
Demonstrate teamwork and exceptional work ethics.
Able to work independently.
Able to manage multiple tasks/priorities/deadlines; flexible to respond to changing needs.
Non-profit experience preferred, but not necessary.
Excellent communication skills and professional presentation.
Must have valid driver’s license.
