We are Primary Arms, and we’re looking for an Acquisition Specialist for our exciting e-commerce and retail environment. This role is based on-site in our Corporate Headquarters in Houston, TX.

This is a full-time position with daytime hours. Some non-standard work shifts may be required.
Contract preparation, contract administration, contract management, and contract close-out actions; contract pricing support and cost/price analysis support for proposals against Government cost estimates; and consulting support on acquisition related issues from cradle to grave.
Works independently or manages a group or subordinates and coordinates directly with the customer or Project Manager, as assigned
Utilizes an in-depth knowledge of acquisition
Pre-award roles include analysis of requirement, recommendations for revisions to the statement of work or specifications, determination of type of contract, milestones and procurement plan
Post award roles include contract administration, performance termination actions, negotiation of termination settlements and closeout
Other tasks, as assigned within the Primary Arms Team
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with experience in organizational and communication skills
Ability to conduct detailed research and analysis of technical data
Ability to read and interpret acquisition policy, regulations, and directives
Knowledge of current contracting procedures, to include: development of competition and acquisition strategies; determination of contracting methods and contract types; contract award; contract administration; and contract close-out; as set forth in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Education Acquisition Regulation Supplement (EDAR), and firsthand operation experience in contracting
Proficient in preparing all pre and post award documentation and have effective oral and written communication skills. It is highly desired that the personnel have contract experience in the Federal Government
Ability to assist with strategic level issues and acquisition planning, formulate negotiation strategies, develop negotiation objectives, and analyze cost and price data
Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office, with a focus in Word, Excel, and Outlook
Strong planning and organization skills.
2 years’ minimum experience required in Supplier sourcing, Federal Government Sales or bids
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance of public trust or higher
A candidate with current supplier relationships will be given first consideration
FAC-C/DAWIA certification will be preferred. Your completion of any of the courses in the list below will be taken into consideration.
