The Sales Representative will be responsible for initiating calls to clients, prospective clients, and handling customer inquiries to achieve maximum sales profitability and growth by effectively selling the company's products and related services.
Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers to generate new business for the organization's products/services.
Demonstrates products and services to existing/potential customers and assists them in selecting those best suited to their needs.
Research source for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential.
Identifies advantages and compares organization's products and services.
Makes telephone calls and in-person visits to and presentations to existing and prospective customers
Coordinates sales efforts with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and technical service groups.
Analyzes the market's potential and determines the value of existing and prospective customers' to the organization.
Keeps abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends.
Participates in trade shows and conventions.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must be a self-starter and proactive.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Good organizational, time management, and mathematical skills.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Knowledge of MS Office and the Windows environment.
Ability to multi-task and operate successfully under deadlines.
Familiar with the hunting and shooting sports industry.
Ability to work independently as well as under immediate supervision.
Strong interpersonal skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years inside/outside sales experience.
