Trident 1 is looking for a full-time inside sales representative for a cloud based SAAS ERP solution designed specifically for the retail firearms industry. This job is based out of Dallas, Texas. This software manages all channels of retail through one system with real-time inventory visibility, allowing retailers to better serve customers in stores and online. This software will be best in class and provide firearms dealers with intuitive and intelligent software, enabling them to be more productive and operationally effective with the result being increased profitability. Your overall mission will be to drive sales and revenue growth, close new business, maintain relationships, and exploit opportunities for add-on business. The ideal candidate can effectively prospect, establish referral relationships, and work company-generated leads by utilizing solution selling sales methodologies. Responsibilities include but are not limited to prospecting, solution development, system demonstration, proposals creation, CRM management, contract negotiations, and closing sales opportunities. As a sales representative you will be responsible to describe our system and perform demonstrations in person and online, including Point of Sale (POS), the full retail suite, E-Commerce, mobile POS, and several other mobile applications.
Ability to cold-call and demand generate to build a viable pipeline of prospective clients.
Developing new business via telephone and mass communication such as email and social media.
Ability to close new business and maintain relationships with existing clients, with ongoing opportunities for add-on business.
Identify clients’ decision-maker(s), build strong relationships, and build trust to win opportunities.
Understand clients’ needs, communicate the features and benefits of our system, and to demonstrate the value of our products and services.
Develop proposals encompassing all aspects of related products and services that include hardware, software, and services to meet or exceed annual sales and revenue objectives.
Participate in the development, presentation, and sales of the value proposition.
May travel to represent company at outside events such as trade shows, conferences, association meetings, and as necessary to win opportunities.
Interface with the finance team, IT engineers, and management in developing specific account strategy.
Understand inner working of the products and present this knowledge to customers.
Identify and develop strategic alignment with key third party influencers.
Communicate effectively both over the phone and in person with clients’ decision makers.
Understand Trident 1’s vision, strategy, and key customer initiatives.
Assess our market segment for new opportunities.
Train new and existing clients on our POS retail software, either on-site or remotely

Ability to effectively communicate the value that our software can add to their company, and to provide a walkthrough of our software and how it is the right solution based on their needs.
Proficient in Retail POS software and Microsoft Office Applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Strong consultative selling, listening, and taking notes skills
Capable of building and perpetuating profitable business partnerships, which promote long-term success
Experience selling integrated enterprise business applications software to retailers or similar industry (Firearms and Apparel a plus)
Follow-up with pre-qualified sales opportunities; tracking within CRM system
Provide product demonstrations of our advanced, cutting edge software, remotely or on-site
Communicate with existing customer base regarding new offerings for potential add-on sales
Prepare sales proposals/contracts for prospects based on retailers' requirements and qualifications
Proven record of meeting and exceeding sales goals
Operational experience in firearms/outdoor retail is a plus but not required.
Bachelor's Degree from accredited University or equivalent experience in sales and/or industry
Minimum 3 years of experience with a focus on strategic accounts, including software sales.
Preferred Skills, Qualifications, Education, and Experience:
BS in Business, Computer Science, or Computer Information System
Experience with technical/software, preferably in the retail market
Experience with professional or solution-based selling
Previous business-to-business sales experience of MS Dynamics, Salesforce, NetSuite, and Workday software
FFL experience (perhaps a manufacturers sales rep currently in FFL industry, or a distributor sales rep.)
Previously managed outside third-party sales
