Essential duties include the following - other duties may be assigned
Consistently grow Holosun sales while protecting brand equity
Build relationships with buyers and Sales Rep. Group staff
Holosun POC for key buyers and customer executives
Review and modify when necessary our current sales programs (pricing, terms, buy-ins, etc)
Identify opportunities with key accounts. Work with sales rep. and the buyer on negotiations for an opening order and regular orders, new product launches, promotions and special programs
Develop and facilitate Holosun product training and company presentations
Travel to Trade, Distributor, Buy Group & Dealer shows in the U.S. and sometimes overseas
Travel to Key Accounts
Schedule and present at trainings, business meetings and relationship building events
Meetwith buyers and marketing departments
Unscheduled Travel for troubleshooting business process issues
Work with our marketing firm to produce sales sheets for new items, including description, prices, specs and final layout approval
Monitor competitor products, sales and marketing activities
Foresee and avoid product stagnation in the marketplace and identify valuable emerging markets
Work with factory, Business Development Manager, Sales rep. Groups & Key Accounts to plan and synchronize production, delivery, marketing materials, and to detail the industry wide promotions, individual dealer promotions/spiff programs.
Schedule, manage and track the implementation of co-op advertisements for each account.
Schedule and manage the implementation of industry promotions and key account promotions.
Work with our marketing firm and business development manager to shape an annual marketing budget and track expenses
Manage Manufactures Rep. groups
Day to day interaction with all Manufactures Reps.
Quarterly phone/conference call with each rep to review the performance of each model & dealer
Quarterly review with Sales Rep. Groups/key accounts to predict and forecast for sales revenue/sales quantity targets
Weekly conference call with both rep. group owners or senior managers
Ensure Manufactures reps buy-in to Holosun values, vision, policy and strategy
Work with Reps. to open the accounts on our target list or to drop the dealers that are violating company values or strategy
Keep Sales Rep. Groups apprised of all SKU info, programs, marketing materials, pricing changes, promotions, etc.
Manage and assist the Sales Rep. Groups on New SKU uploads and maintenance/updates of product upload spreadsheets.
Oversee Rep. group staff in account set ups, vendor agreements, marketing/co-op, shipping, terms, PO QTY, SKU selection decisions ext.
Two training visits to each rep. group every year
Manage distributor and large dealer accounts show schedule
Daily one-hour conference call with managers that takes place between 4 pm to 6 pm PST.
participate in the meeting/discussion of company policy & strategy and future development with other managerial layers.
Work with business development manager to create the sales section of the monthly, quarterly, and annual “State of the Company” presentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business or a related field
A minimum of 10 years of experience in some combination of outside sales, director of sales, sales manager or related role in the outdoor industry
The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
Strong customer orientation
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including presentation skills
High performance team experience and the desire to be a strong team player
Commitment to company values
Must be highly in-sync with the shooting sports market
Superior negotiation skills
Problem Solving, Analysis, Strategic Thinking
Language Skills: Must have strong command of the English language, in both verbal and written communications
Computer Skills: Exceptional skills in MS Office Suite -- Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Experience working for a branded company in the outdoor industry such as a firearms or optics manufacturer
Have wide and established connections with big players in the industry
Master’s degree in business or related field
