The Communications Specialist will be a member of the in-house branding creative team and will support the overall company needs for communications in it many forms. They will support and enhance current communication channels and create and develop new ones. The scope of work will include using the voice that reflects Magpul’s roots in firearms, military and the shooting sports, mixed with an action sports and general pop culture sensibility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide inputs to building effective communication strategies for Magpul and coordinate external and internal communication flows.
Collaborate with subject matter experts in the Marketing, Product Management, Sales, and other teams to ensure communications are correct in content, relevance, messaging and voice.
Compose, publish, and promote a variety of supporting written content tailored to the appropriate Magpul audience. This will range from articles, marketing campaign products, reviews and branding materials.
Create written materials that will be used in various online and offline channels such as social media, email and newsletters, website, print materials, forums, reviews, etc.
Communicate with media regularly, manage media inquiries, and provide support for special events, marketing events, and PR events as appropriate.
Complement the company’s ongoing efforts to develop and grow relationships with influencers and key stakeholders.
Travel up to 15%

Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, journalism, communications, or related field.
Two or more years of marketing or communications experience and/or relevant internship experience.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills and knowledge of copywriting, proofreading, and editing.
In-depth knowledge and experience with MS Office Suite and social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.).
Outstanding organizational and time-managements skills.
This position reports to the Director of Marketing.
