Repairing and performing work on customer returns and in-house products as needed.
Answering warranty and technical inquiries for our customer base via phone or email
Processing customer sales and service charges for customers in the context of a non-warranty scenario.
Research, troubleshoot, and help resolve customer issues with their firearms or optics.
Assisting customers in the Traditions retail store as needed.
Testing firearms for function, accuracy, and mechanical repeatability at the shooting range.
Assisting the QC team with Quality Control inspections and maintain BATFE/FFL compliance with serialized cartridge firearms through proper acquisition, handling, and disposition procedures pertaining to this position.
Traditions Performance Firearms is currently searching for a self-motivated individual with experience in both firearms technology and customer service to join our team. Previous experience in firearms production is a plus.
Graduate of a resident trade school program with a 1-year Certificate or a 2-years Associates Degree of in Gunsmithing or Firearms Technology.
Note: 2-3 years of experience working in a gunsmithing setting will be considered in-lieu of education.
Familiarity with usage of hand tools with relation to working on firearms.
Must be familiar with primary measuring tools for standard gunsmithing work (Calipers, micrometers, bore/pin gauges, torque wrenches, sight adjustment tooling, headspace gauges, etc.)
Time management and organizational skills are a must
Proficiency with MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
Previous knowledge of SAGE software (MAS) is a plus for the position
Knowledge/Experience in cycle of operations, reparations, and customization experience in any or all of the below firearms platforms is needed in order to perform in this role:
Knowledge of sighting systems and sight system principles is needed for this role
Open sights, sight radius establishment, Minute-of-Angle, Exterior ballistics, etc.
Sighting optics, various scope reticle platforms, and industry standards/trends for hunting industry optics.
Knowledge of ballistics, propellants, and projectiles in both cartridge and blackpowder firearms.
Experience in the American Hunting & Shooting Industry is a plus for this position.
