PACEM Defense is currently accepting resumes for a Finance Manager at our location in Perry, Florida.
The Finance Manager is responsible for ensuring that financial data is collected, consolidated and evaluated in a timely manner, and is accurately reported to the executive management team for review. The Finance Manager will direct the Finance and Accounting Department's daily activities and ensure that the department is operating in compliance with all regulatory requirements and in accordance with all applicable company policies.
Monitor fiscal performance to identify variances and trends
Approve expenditures and budget adjustments, as authorized
Maintain responsibility for the fiscal integrity of all financial reporting and operations
Provide historical data and projections as required for budget development and planning
Oversee account reconciliation and production of regularly scheduled summary reports, income statements and financial statements
Develop and manage annual and multi-year budgets to support strategic plans
Implement accurate direct labor cost accounting practices and support direct labor cost targets by providing analysis to Operations personnel
Ensure PACEM Defense personnel are charging appropriately and in accordance with company policy
Review time keeping practices, audit timecards and correct deficiencies to ensure PACEM Defense's payroll is processed correctly and efficiently
Review and approve all consultant/employee overhead expenses
Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department to include the month and year-end processes, cash receipts, check runs, invoicing, and collections
Responsible for the collection and reporting of taxes
Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
Computing Skills: Windows Operating Systems; general use of Internet web sites and search tools; email communication with attachments; Microsoft Office Suite; Adobe Acrobat; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, accounting software and databases
Language Skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, financial reports, legal documents, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customer, and the general public
Reasoning Ability. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
