The Export Analyst is a member of the Orchid LLC family of companies and will be employed by the Orchid Advisors LLC entity. During the course of employment, the employee may be asked to support the needs of any of the Orchid LLC family of companies.
Although the ideal candidate location is in New England or Nashville areas, it will remain a remote position both during and after the COVID pandemic.
Title: Manager of Export Solutions
Reports to: VP of Regulatory Services
Base Salary: $85,000 – 95,000 / yr (Gross)
Location: Works from Home with some team-focused time in the office
Other: Company computer provided and up to $30 / mo phone service expense

The Manager of Export Solutions is responsible for assisting customers with their licensing and export needs as follows:
Assist with Export / ITAR registrations
Prepare State and Commerce Department export license applications as required to support our customer’s International Sales, Training, and other business activities.
Monitor applications through the approval process and resolve problems
Help build compliance processes intended to comply with export requirements
Conduct denied parties screenings
Monitor and maintain records of exports against licenses or exemptions/exceptions
Maintain updated knowledge of export regulations
Provide additional support to international compliance program as requested
Job Type, Location and Hours
Job Type: Full-time (no relocation)
Travel Estimate: 10% primarily for industry trade shows, when appropriate
Hours: 8 – 5 with an hour for lunch. Actual hours are flexible with approval. Limited time may be requested of the employee during evenings, weekends or vacations, if warranted by a time sensitive event.
PTO / PST: Two weeks of PTO (“vacation”) plus holidays; and Paid Sick Time (PST).
3 – 5 yeas of firearm export licensing and compliance experience
Technical / Software Qualifications
Strong understanding of modern computing applications (online or on-premise)
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
File management systems (e.g., SharePoint or Zoho Workdrive, etc)
Strong oral and written skills
Attention to detail
Motivated / self starter
