Manages inventory of purchased materials used in support of plant maintenance, engineering and operations.
Drives continuous improvement – Works with cross-functional partners to identify opportunities for improvement and develop/implement best practices/routines.
Recommends process changes to minimize inventory loss.
Implements and monitors Key Performance Indicators and leads continuous improvement initiatives for improving area performance.
Cross-functional collaboration and influence – Identifies and resolves root causes of inventory losses, working with cross-functional partners to problem solve and implement preventive measures.
Coordinates and manages daily and perpetual physical cycle counting cadence.
Monitors and reviews daily inventory adjustments and changes and creates reports as requested.
Analyzes significant cycle count adjustments to identify root causes and to recommend counter measures.
Analyzes and Reports on inventory activities, cycle count process, changes and variances, including trends and root cause analysis using Fishbowl
Reports, examines and monitors inventory levels, supply chain progress and procedural efficiency as requested.
Oversees labor planning and scheduling of inventory control and staff – ensures all facility and inventory activities are completed timely, utilizing all personnel effectively. Includes prioritizing and delegating ad hoc requests in cooperation with operations personnel.
Ensures compliance to legal regulations and company policies.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a production environment with duties that include shipping and receiving, warehouse and inventory management, maintenance and work order management.
A minimum of 2 years’ experience managing and developing a team.
3-5 Years of machining experience including CNC controlled lathes, mills, surface grinders and EDM machines with programming experience.
Mastercam software and solidworks software experience.
Basic understanding of engineering drawings.
Must understand AZ labor laws and OSHA regulations.
Associates degree or technical school, or equivalent education and related experience.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Prior experience and proficiency with inventory management systems Fishbowl Inventory Management Software is required
Fishbowl experience is a plus
