Baron Technology, Inc., located in Milford, CT, is the largest independent custom engraving and finishing company in the U.S., bringing excellence and artistry to a centuries-old craft. There’s something uniquely special about a Baron mark; it’s been that way for nearly four decades.

We are currently in need of a Laser Operator/Programmer II. This individual performs setups of new projects, assists in development of new products, runs samples, works with team to develop fixtures, tooling and programs, and assists in day to day production operations running laser and CNC engraving centers.

Experience with machining, assembly, set up, working in close tolerances, inspection, programming, coupled with an acute attention to detail are requirements for success in this position.

• Adjust laser settings as required to ensure quality engraving to meet quality standards set for the operation.
• Oversee machines to ensure engraving is reproduced accurately and positioned properly.
• Follow standardized setup guidelines to ensure accuracy.
• All first piece parts are to be reviewed and approved prior to production by following prescribed process.
• Responsible for ensuring that all tools and equipment are properly used and maintained.
• Identify non-conforming parts and work with co-workers to determine root causes and solutions.
• Meets work standards by following production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving operational problems; identifying work process improvements.
• Improves quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; recommending changes to art, copy writing, and production departments.
