Job Description: Black Creek Precision LLC is currently seeking a Third Shift CNC Machinist to join our team in Jacksonville Florida from 10pm to 6 am. Who We Are: Black Creek Precision LLC in one of America’s leading OEM’s to the defense industry. We manufacture different weapons parts and systems for sale worldwide. Our weapons components can be found in military systems and in the retail and military sectors. Our list of machined components run the gamut, serving markets across the world. Summary: Sets-up and operates CNC HAAS milling machines to manufacture parts that meet customer specifications and production standards. What You’ll Do:* Sets-up machines using general shop provided tools (i.e. wrenches, screwdrivers) and precision measuring tools (i.e. micrometers, indicators) following detailed set-up procedures.* Operate machines to manufacture parts using specified fixtures, and associated tooling. Properly complete required documentation (i.e. routers, deviation tickets) with inspection information for parts run as required.* Performs in-process and first-piece inspections using standard precision measuring equipment (i.e. indicators, micrometers, thread gages) to ensure p
...art is within specifications outlined on inspection sheets.* Maintains an accurate daily log of parts processed, significant dimensions, machining parameters, and general information pertaining to the operation performed as required.* Performs preventive and routine maintenance to maintain machine performance.* Performs daily housekeeping tasks to provide a safe, clean, and orderly workplace.* Applies problem-solving skills to identify and solve production-related issues.* Communicates effectively with supervisor, lead person, and peers.* Performs related duties as assigned by management. Our Ideal Candidate: Education and Experience* 3+ Machining experience and experience with precision measuring equipment and reading blueprints* Requires high school, general education degree (GED), or vocational school graduate with courses in mechanical drawing, shop mathematics, and machining practices or equivalent experience and training. Vocational College Experience in precision Machining a plus.* Ability to interpret basic Geometric, Dimensioning and Tolerancing (G D & T).* Close attention and care required to prevent damage to parts and machine tools.* Demonstrated ability to obtain a forklift operator’s license and drive a forklift safely when applicable. (optional)Physical Requirements include:· Regularly required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. Frequently required to reach at or above shoulder level. Occasionally must squat, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds independently. Repetitive actions include simple grasping, firm grasping, and fine manipulation.
