A Vice President of Sales that is a hands-on leader over 3 critical areas of company performance: 1) sales team manager, 2) account management of onboarding new B2B partners and serving existing partners, and 3) daily membership sales gained from B2B2C and B2C distribution channels.
This role will focus on sales growth and leadership for the company, including strategic sales planning, staff oversight, partner management, and execution to move company growth forward. This role will measure, monitor, and report KPIs and other metrics to track success, as well as develop an excellent understanding of the company’s culture, team, and the self-defense marketplace, including firearms retailers, gear retailers, ranges, and others focused on the self-defense market. This role will be a member of the leadership team reporting to the Chief Customer Officer.
Develops sales strategies, action plans, forecasts, sales support tactics/methods, manages budgets, daily tracking, and analyzing for results.
Creates training, coaching programs for sales management, rep training, and evaluation, including the establishment of territories and sales goals.
Provides leadership, support, and coaching to both the sales and account management teams. Wears multiple hats as a player/coach hands-on leader.
Maintains positive relationships with key strategic partners of the company, identifying opportunities for growth and continual improvement.
Leadsteam building up and down the organization, people management, and creating a culture of sales success. Provides transparent and candid feedback and asks for the same in return.
Delivers in-depth strategies to take the company to the next level, while applying a deep understanding of our complex distribution methods and proven tactics.
Owns the sales P&L forecast and actual results to ensure revenue meets/exceeds forecasts and expenses are managed well within budget.
Manages sales activity via Salesforce CRM and other sales management reporting tools.
Represents the company at industry conferences and key prospect meetings.
Performs other duties as assigned
