This position reports to the Business Development Manager of Real Avid and will play the key role in developing and growing business partnerships with top independent retailers (dealers) in the outdoor sporting goods industry.
Key responsibilities will include:
Identify independent retailers capable of installing “store within a store” Real Avid Pro shops.
Proactively plan nation-wide travel (50% of time) to prospects and existing top partner locations.
Conduct a quarterly follow-up to help installed Pro Shops succeed:
New product training
Special event collaboration
Work in strong partnership with the Real Avid marketing team to institutionalize best practices for driving sales at the store level.
Email and direct mail
Signage and merchandising assets
Foster independent sales rep relationships through travel, clear communication, follow up and developing sales rep best practices
Monitor and report monthly sales progress at the national, regional, and state level.
Support the planning and execution of buy group show sales events.
Attend all key trade shows as a Real Avid Independent Retailer point person.
Collaborate with sales team to develop plan-o-grams for various space scenarios.
Develop best practice for dealer inquiry process.
Work with internal order processing and DC teams to improve dealer order process and efficiency.
Project priorities and team needs change regularly. Team culture is such that resources go to where they are needed from time to time. Physical labor such as setting store displays and lifting boxes is part of the job. Also, tasks will regularly come up that do not fit directly into this job description.

Comfort, knowledge, and experience with firearms and shooting sports
5+ years of full-time sales/marketing/merchandising experience
Strong knowledge of the outdoor sporting goods industry (especially the dealer channel)
