The Director serves the Sales department and leads a team of Managers, Coordinators, Inside and Outside Sales Teams and additional positions.
This position will encompass all business transactions and activities under the sales department and will be responsible for the department’s performance, quality of service, and standard of excellence.
This is a full-time position with daytime and early evening hours. Some non-standard work shifts may be required.

Specific responsibilities and duties, but are not limited to, the following:
Managing and influencing department staff on strategic planning, project development, project management, personnel issues, budgets, and timelines
Accountable for the successful attainment of budgeted monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals
Responsible for tracking department’s progress via P&L, KPI’s, assortment, inventory control and forecasts
Building consensus and support on venture projects both inside and outside the company
Develops and applies acquisition strategies, acquisition policy, regulations, and directives
Understand and create strategy for the competitive landscape and market trends
Determine annual unit and gross-profit plans by implementing marketing strategies, analyzing trends and results
Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories, projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products
Establish and adjust selling prices by monitoring costs, competition and supply and demand
Complete national and international sales operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results
Develop sales and market strategies to exceed the Brand's Sales objectives through the development and expansion of new markets and revenue streams
Maintain sales staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees. As well as counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring and appraising job results
Leads, shapes, and articulates both the Internal Team development and External Initiatives projects long-range policy agenda, including but not limited to specific initiatives and useful products, processes, programs that can become signature pieces for both business area
Analyze pipeline and lead data, deliver periodic reporting to the sales and marketing teams providing key business insights: typical reporting relates to Demand Generation, Pipeline Forecast and Trends, Conversion Rates, Target Account, Market Segmentation, Win/Loss, Age
Effectively communicates and develops relationships, with Dealers, OEM partners and other department leads within the company
Stays abreast of emerging trends within the industry and community news along with regulations
Manage department KPI’s and P&L’s
Establish and manage existing key business relationships or other opportunity plans
Manage contractors, support trade shows & conferences
Skills and Qualifications
The incumbent must demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:
Strong Business & Sales acumen and overall understanding of the firearms industry
The ability to lead people towards meeting the organization's vision, mission, and goals
The ability to provide an inclusive workplace that supports the development of others, an understanding that facilitates collaboration and teamwork, and supports constructive conflict resolution
The ability to meet organizational and sales goals, and customer expectations
Ability to identify and solve client issues strategically

Strong team building and development experience with a team-oriented mind set
Must have the ability to assist with strategic level issues and planning, formulate negotiation strategies, develop negotiation objectives, and analyze cost and price data
Efficient in Microsoft Office, with a focus in Word, Excel, and Outlook, NetSuite, CRM systems, EDI
Analytical ability, judgment, discretion, and knowledge of a substantial body of administrative or program principles, concepts, policies, and objectives
Excellent oral, written, interpersonal and presentation skills
CBPA, AMA, PMP, certifications are preferred
Five + years’ experience in a director level (or up) position preferred
Ability to communicate effectively at CEO/COO/CFO/SVP level critical
