To oversee, manage, and grow Otis (including Shooter’s Choice) sales and profitability at assigned accounts through the application of effective sales techniques including category management, consultative/COS selling, and relationship building at all levels of assigned accounts.
Responsibilities:
Direct Sales Rep force at assigned customers to ensure results using best-in-class sales practices
Execute effective category management techniques to develop product assortment, promotion, planograms, merchandising and new product introductions to each key account including Bass Pro (and others)
Monitor and track competitive activity to identify and forecast new market opportunities
Provide guidance and assistance to Sales Rep force to ensure that Otis products are properly presented and customers are being serviced at the highest level in key accounts
Travel to customer’s offices for planned sales calls on a regular cycle, and arrange for customer visits on-site in Lyons Falls as appropriate
Participate and coordinate Otis participation in key accounts’ Managers Trainings, Summits, Store Events (e.g., Fall Classics), and other events
Analyze sales (dollars and unit) and margin data by customer to monitor and ensure growing net sales and profitability.
Provide detailed reporting to Director of Sales on a monthly basis.
Monitor and assist in financial issues as requested such as chargeback resolution, credit limit issues, overdue invoices, and potential financial issues to Otis
Maintain appropriate records for the sales and proper management of each account
Attend Otis’ trade show including show set up and tear down, hotel arrangements, product availability for demonstration and display and other ancillary arrangements as deemed necessary
Participate in firearms (and other) training that is offered or directed by Otis
Follow firearm safe handling and proper storage etiquette at all times
BS (or equivalent experience, training, or military service) required
Five years key account sales experience selling premium branded consumer or specialty goods to chain retail customers specifically Bass Pro or other equivalent chain stores.
Prior experience mentoring and coaching staff members
Successful experience in high revenue, complex negotiations involving multi-department and/or multi-partner sales
Demonstrated experience in CPFR (preferred), business forecasting, and sales planning
Experience in using sales history, syndicated data, industry data, customer assortments and competitive knowledge to build aggressive fact-based customer proposals
