General Summary:
In conformance with established policies and procedures, maintain all aspects of the NIC Industries family of websites, including cerakote.com and prismaticpowders.com
Essential Job Functions:
Maintain all aspects of company’s websites.
Follow established department SOPs regarding creating, testing, and deploying builds.
Design, document and implement requested functionality and updates.
Test and debug existing and new functionality.
Deploy tested and approved updates to the websites.
Get approval for projects and updates from Subject Matter Experts in other departments.
Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Accounting, Shipping, and other departments to resolve issues and improve usability.
Research and stay current with third party software and critically analyze opportunities to utilize third party software/programming.
Stay updated on current web trends and best in class websites and develop recommendations to maintain modern web presence and user experience.
Work with third party development as needed.
Stay current on competitive web presence and make recommendations to maintain industry- leading web position.
Skills, Experience and Abilities Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences or 3+ years of web development experience, particularly on ecommerce sites.
Experience working on ecommerce web platforms.
Experience with API interactions.
Effective understanding of website information organization and navigation design.
Must be able to work with multiple individuals and departments.
Good verbal and written communication skills
Strong knowledge of the following technologies preferred:
Vue JS / JavaScript
Java
Web Services
MySQL
MS Office
CSS
SCSS
HTML
Git – source control
