The Marketing and Business Development Manager is responsible for providing expert advice, support, and planning for developing and administering high-profile marketing initiatives, programs and projects relating to business promotions and sales development. You will have a high level of exposure in the following core marketing areas of expertise- graphic design and visual content, web design and user experience, digital marketing, and social media platforms, influencer marketing, YouTube, SEO, Word Press, content marketing, and creation, email marketing, analytics and data analysis, copy writing, general online, and e-commerce platforms, and customer relationship management.
Manage Internal employees or external marketing agencies as required.
Engage in Marketing activities to attain or exceed company objectives relating to sales.
Gather and analyze information to identify new markets and customers, demand for products and services, and efficacy of existing marketing campaigns and strategies.
Spearhead the development and execution of the company's content strategy.
Maintain and manage the content and sales calendar.
Content creation experience and management of creative resources such as photography and videography.
Oversee content creation and sales practices through frequent testing of content or sales formats and distribution channels.
Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and customer challenges to build a more effective content/sales strategy.
Update web content, working with digital marketing, product marketing, and creative.
Analyze reports and metrics for ensuing the effectiveness of marketing and sales trends.
Organize and maintain asset library for distribution both internal and external.
Create company external marketing materials such as catalogs, spec sheets, and other assets.
Manage Marketing Department loan and sample accounts.
Monitor budgets by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
Build relationships with various organizations to improve Marketing and sales efforts.
Interact with Sales & Customer Service Department to ensure all communications reflect the strategic plan for branding the company.
Represent the company at corporate events, trade shows and conferences, as required.
Identify and make appropriate recommendations for potential improvements within the different Marketing or sales departments.
Keep current with industry knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading trade publications, etc.
Assist Management in coordinating various marketing/sales projects and other duties where requested.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree in Business or Marketing, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 + years' experience in a Marketing Function, preferably within the sporting goods industry.
Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail.
Familiar with Word Press
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to develop and maintain one brand voice between print, social media, website and PR effforts via copy, photography, video, etc,. with proven creative ability in executing sales and promotional programs and campaigns.
