Operations & Supply Chain Manager | JP Enterprises, Inc.

Hugo, Minnesota, The Mission: Scale the Apex of Precision Manufacturing

JP Enterprises (JP Rifles) does not build commodity firearms. For over three decades, our Hugo, Minnesota facility has engineered the absolute pinnacle of precision rifles, roller-delayed carbines, and world-class recoil management systems, and proprietary premium level parts. Our platforms are the gold standard for elite Gun competitors, Special Operations personnel, and law enforcement agencies who demand flawless performance.
We are now entering our next aggressive phase of growth, and we are looking for the operational architect to lead it.
We are seeking a highly experienced Operations & Supply Chain Manager to take full ownership of our manufacturing floor, assembly lines, and global supply chain. This is not a maintenance role, and this is not a desk job for an email-pusher. This is a high-stakes leadership position focused on breaking bottlenecks, scaling output, and engineering a bulletproof production machine without compromising the ultra-premium quality our brand is built on.
The Profile: Who Belongs Here
If your operational experience is limited to high-level oversight without shop-floor shavings on your boots, this role will overwhelm you. We are looking for a battle-tested leader (ideally with 10+ years of hard-parts manufacturing experience) who knows how to bridge the gap between the ledger and the manufacturing floor.
Do not apply if:

You manage from a spreadsheet rather than leading from the floor.
You are comfortable with "good enough" or "how we've always done it."
You cannot walk a manufacturing line and identify the supply chain bottlenecks holding it back.

Do apply if:

You have a proven history of scaling mid-sized manufacturing companies into higher-volume, precision powerhouses.
You understand the rigid disciplines of ISO 9001, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing, and you know how to implement them as tools for production, not just bureaucratic boxes to check.
You hold vendors to uncompromising standards and know how to forecast, buy, and negotiate global supply chains for raw materials and hard parts.
Bonus: You understand the firearms and gun-parts industry, its supply chain nuances and limitations, and its exactingly high mechanical tolerances.

Core Responsibilities
You will report directly to executive leadership and hold complete accountability for the day-to-day velocity and quality of our production.

Manufacturing & Assembly Velocity: Direct the daily operations of a fast-paced manufacturing and manual assembly floor, ensuring production targets are met daily.
Supply Chain & Procurement: Own the global supply chain. Forecast demand, manage purchasing, and deliberately hold external vendors accountable for delivery timelines and material quality.
Quality Control (QC) & ISO 9001: Enforce our zero-defect culture. Maintain and elevate our upcoming ISO 9001 standards as we move forward in becoming certified, ensuring scaling does not dilute our world-class precision.
Process Engineering (Lean/5S): Identify, strategize, and fix operational bottlenecks. Transition manual, legacy processes into automated, highly efficient, scale-ready systems.
Shipping & Receiving Logistics: Streamline the flow of raw materials coming in and finished goods shipping out across B2B, DTC, and global distributor channels.
Leadership & Team Building: Train, supervise, and build/improve a cohesive, high-performing operational team. You must be a leader who deserves and commands respect through competence and understanding and drives a culture of accountability and KPIs.
Budget & Forecasting: Drive the operational budget. Align manufacturing capacity with our aggressive sales targets and maintain strict cost controls on raw materials and overhead.

Compensation & Benefits
We expect the best, and we will compensate accordingly.

Salary: Highly competitive and commensurate with your level of proven experience.
Performance Bonuses: We reward success. As we grow and hit scaling, margin, and output targets, you will be incentivized.
Benefits: A comprehensive benefits package.

How to Apply
If you have the operational pedigree to scale a legendary brand and the leadership grit to back it up, submit your resume and a cover letter detailing the most complex manufacturing problem you have successfully broken down and conquered.
JP Enterprises is an equal opportunity employer located in Hugo, MN.

Pay: $92,500.00 - $125,000.00 per year

Benefits:

401(k)
401(k) matching
Dental insurance
Employee discount
Flexible spending account
Health insurance
Health savings account
Paid time off
Parental leave
Retirement plan

A Bachelor’s degree and/or high-level course certifications in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or Industrial Engineering. (Note: We prioritize results over paper. If you lack the degree but possess 12+ years of elite, verifiable success scaling manufacturing floors, your track record will serve as your credential).
10+ years of direct experience in Operations and Supply Chain Management, specifically within hard-parts manufacturing and assembly.
Demonstrated mastery of higher end ERP ecosystems, vendor negotiation, and inventory orchestration, control, and management.
A mature, engaging, mentoring leadership presence capable of aligning a diverse team of machinists, assemblers, and logistics personnel toward a single goal.
