Taylor’s and Company
Taylor's Firearms, a leading firearms importer and distributor, is seeking an Inside Sales Manager to manage sales, customer accounts, and a dynamic sales team. We are seeking a qualified sales manager to help keep this engine running with their own skill as well as leadership of a team of driven sales representatives. The ideal sales manager has in-depth knowledge of and experience with the sales process, and excels at lead generation, relationship building, and closing deals. We’re seeking a quick learner who has strong negotiating skills — someone with a track record of success who can inspire the same in others. The role demands a leader with a sharp mind and an ability to coach, advise, motivate, or replace sales representatives to build and maintain a high-performance team. This position will require a presence at our Virginia office with various travel required throughout the year.
The Inside Sales Manager will be expected to maximize profitability and market penetration. The Inside Sales Manager will prospect new sales opportunities, foster relationships with existing accounts, grow brand awareness, ensure brand alignment in partner facilities, execute sales opportunities in that area, assign personnel to sales events, and report progress on assigned company goals.
A statement from Taylor’s CEO
The position outlined below lists basic duties and responsibilities of the Inside Sales Manager. Taylor's is looking for the right individual to really grasp the message behind our brand and become a great figurehead for the company at events and with the Taylor’s team. The right individual will learn the line, and then learn about the tools we have to increase sales and perform the daily basics of a standard sales team member. How do we keep our existing dealer base happy? How do we work with the current inventory levels and offer our customers tools to order product? These are the questions a good Inside Sales Manager would ask and strive to find solutions for. These are the types of challenges daily that this person will face. The role is designed as an acting manager, not only setting a pace for the sales office, but often setting an example of how to conduct sales. Present expectations of sales team members and be able to enforce those when necessary. This position will be in charge of "VIP" style of accounts, some that already have history, and hopefully new accounts that want to grow with us. Besides wholesale distributors, Taylor's strives to find great dealers nationwide that want to stock Taylor's product and give Taylor’s some shelf space. Setting the pace for the sales team is not the only managerial role - but be prepared to review work the sales team is putting out, including dealer and consumer sales departments. What will we accept - are we gaining new business? Are the sales team members making phone calls? What new tools, PDF flyers, promotions, etc. can keep those sales team wheels turning? Constant monitoring and push is required to manage the sales team properly, and to keep up with the output.
It's an in-depth position at the heart of Taylor's Firearms. Although seemingly small, we have made a big footprint and are looking for someone to embrace the challenges, the excitement, seize the opportunities, and grow with us.
